Hi Simon
I recommend the upgrade.
I think you’ve seen my Belle but, regardless, the autobox is bloomin easy to control. If you want the power it is there but if you don’t it is easy to hold back. The only slides I’ve had have been at my behest. I admit it isn’t as challenging/satisfying as my previous manual 110 but, due to my joints, I don’t suffer the post driving impact now (aside from her currently residing at MMC) and thus I am driving her now far more regularly and can stand upright afterwards!!!!
It is no contest tbh. Also, as a new one would likely have the new roof n lock box etc I suspect it may meet your requirements even more than my MY21 version.
Best wishes to you and your good lady
HB
Ps are you planning on going back to the tabletennis court from September? (If ya know what I’m referring to…!)

Hello Mark,
Thanks for that and yes, we’ll be there on Thursday mornings as before. Hope to see you there.

Simon

Many Morgans leak in heavy rain…so don’t expect the new ones to be any better. Some will and some won’t, but once you’ve bought it, the problem is yours!

It's the flat bottom of the new chassis that creates ripples coming from the rear. There are wind and water returns that we didn't have on the traditional models.

Greetings from Ireland!
Yes, I use mine daily and now have just over 20,000 Kms on the clock. I have had 3 previous trades, one 4/4 and 2 plus4’s. The current car is imho a Morgan as it always should have been- I just love it and after some judicious use of neoprene, it is totally weatherproof to Irish conditions!!!!
I would thoroughly recommend the upgrade even though it did drain the piggy bank- I’m very glad I chose the auto as I find it very relaxing and lightning fast when wanting to overtake in a hurry. Best of luck whatever you decide.

Cheers!

Simon,
the Tesla is a fine EV for commuting and motorway use, it is quiet, comfortable, has a great sound system and is insanely quick, but my 14 months of ownership suggests (to me at least) that it is not a driver's car.
In my view Turbo cars need traction control to manage torque delivery: the BMW straight 6 can deliver max torque from around 1500 rpm, unchecked that is a recipe for adventure..

You are going to replace a C class estate with a Morgan?
