As advised, we fitted a slimline sump and raised the ride height by c.10mm at the front to give 30mm extra clearance. But we are still grounding on speed bumps. How far is it safe to raise the height further without adversely affecting things?

If you hit a pothole you can sue the council for damage. Does the same apply to speed bumps?

If you hit a pothole you can sue the council for damage. Does the same apply to speed bumps? Depends how high the speed bump is. Maximum is 100mm or 4 inches.

Are you sure it is the sump hitting? With my S1 fitted with a mulfab sump & standard front end what grounded was the chassis cross member under the gearbox.

Are you sure it is the sump hitting? With my S1 fitted with a mulfab sump & standard front end what grounded was the chassis cross member under the gearbox. Me too

I have just tried it on a number of speed bumps and the rear of the new sump and the crossmember ground together. I am sure that others must have experienced this.

I have a fabricated steel one in production from Mulfab as we speak with side wings for extra capacity.
You seem a little bitter regarding Mulfab as when you left working there with Peter you set up in competition with his ideas .
