[Hi, there are replacement LED bulbs for the Roadster, 4/4 and +8. https://www.osram.de/am/night-breaker-led/index.jsp#_m603__accordion_1 is the link. Do I have to say, I have no relationship whatsoever to this company? Unfortunately it is currently for left hand drive cars.

Sorry but even if RHD version available they are not legal, in the UK at least, for cars built after 1980!

1986 Richard due to the construction & use regs. Classic Car LEDs sell them for UK cars ( www.classiccarleds.co.uk) . Though not Osram they sell very good bulbs but the change in MOT regs in I think 2021 meant I have had to remove them.

Agree with Richard , not legal in UK. If you want road legal LED headlights in UK they have to be a complete assembly ( bulb and reflector homologated together as a unit) Whilst on the subject of LEDs , there are various designs available for the 7 inch unit. Some look acceptable , some less so . BHM strongly recommend the "over and under" design for its superior light distribution, but the looks are perhaps a little challenging https://morgan-kent.com/product/headlamp-led-7-led-chrome-background/The type with LEDs across the central "bar" are used by MMC , and aftermarket sold by Wolf Performance are said to be less efficient as both light output and beam distribution are inferior. However the aesthetics are perhaps more pleasing. https://www.wolfperformance.co.uk/product/led-headlights/I am no expert on either the the optics or the electronics involved in either system , but I wonder if anyone here does have some additional input.

Blimey, you're not wrong there! I think I prefer the rather simpler and cheaper option of sticking with halogens and simply driving a bit slower at night.

I have the up & over jobbies & I love them, I think they really suit the car. The difference to the MMC prince of darkness candle power cannot be understated. But I agree each to their own. First time out in months the poor thing, but it is bloody fast.A 3rd / 4th gear run had to be a 3rd gear all the way to be ahead
