I've also "gone minimal" and removed the spare wheel cover and the luggage rack, as I really don't have any plans for touring.

Just 90 miles from Pinhao to Porto today. Spectacular views of the Douro Valley.

Looking down on Pinhao. Every inch taken up by vines and Olive trees.

But TomTom does insist on some strange routes. This track was a lot steeper (I reckon 1:5) and narrower - around 9" leeway on either side. The speed limit was 35 but it was no more than 12 in first gear, and if one met another vehicle.......!!!!

Just arrived in Scotland near Loch Lomond. We were at Morgans at Windermere over the weekend so added this little detour. One unscheduled stop to get the rad fan working just South of Oswestry. Heavy traffic on the M6 so getting the fan running was a good idea.
Started from the hotel near Crooklands onto the A6 for a nice route but had to swop to M6 at Shap due to a road closure. Stopped at Gretna Green ( comfort, snack, Mrs sospan wanted to shop at the Outlet). M74 was decent. w area was busy but no delays. Once past Erskine Bridge it was clear roads. Weather was the opposite of what we expected with blue skies...no rain.
4 days of exploring then a couple of nights back in the Lakes on the way home.
First long trip since Covid and enjoying it.

As you can see, mine seem different.

^^That's a sports silencer/tailpipe. As far as I know the MMC rear silencers all had the bracket welded on, whereas the aftermarket silencers had a clamp.

The ones on Peter's picture look like the ones I had on my early S1 with the perforated lining, they were listed on the original invoice as optional extra 'acoustic sports tailpipes' IIRC

The exposed part of my tail pipe is one piece till it joins the pipe from the silencer so I can't add any acoustic trims it I wanted to. Wonder how they alter the sound

Found an invoice in my file for a morgan sports exhaust system dated 2006, cost just under £600. Supply only from Richard Thorne. I take it that would be everything after the cat, as opposed to the including the cat and manifold as well.
