All this talk about tire pressures has me in mind of when we collected our new 2010 Morgan 4/4. In the first 20 kilometres I was left wondering what I had purchased as it felt like my 1932 J2 MG - you could barely hold it on the road. OI thought this cannot be possible so overnight I read the handbook and found that the Morgan specified tire pressure was 22psi. The next morning a quick visit to a local garage and the pressures were reset at 22psi. Apparently the person at the Morgan dealers had taken the car out of storage where it had been for 9 months following the Christchurch earthquake and kindly pumped the tires up to the standard for most cars of 32psi
YES the old sliding pillar suspension needed low tire pressures as part of the suspension but the new CX cars with double wishbone suspension area different story. 28psi is the required pressure.
