If the Plus Six had come with a manual box at the start I may well have gone for one. Now I'm not so sure. I think I've moved on.

The Plus Six is my first auto box car, if a manual had been available I would have chosen one, however I find the auto suits the car and I can choose the paddles which gives me a sequential manual option without the clutch pedal the bonus is I have space for my size 11 left foot.at the side of the brake pedal.
The 8 speed auto is pretty quick and the ratios are nicely spaced, performance is excellent as we know I drive it on the paddles in the wet so as not to get caught out it is an excellent driver in both sport and sport+ manual modes.
Will Morgan be able to source the manual box from the Supra anyway?

Yep, it's all BMW engine & drivetrain in the Supra too

Ok but the question is whether the Plus Six would even be homologated for the manual transmission. Another question is the gear ratio. If the gearbox is very long, like the Plus Four, then it's not really fun. We can look at how the gear ratio was set on the Supra. We won't get anything else for the Morgan Plus Six anyway.

One of the press articles suggests its Toyotas own development of an earlier BMW box

"As soon as Toyota announced its intention to give the GR Supra a manual gearbox, most car fans probably thought they knew the recipe. The Supra’s BMW-sourced ‘B58’ in-line six-cylinder engine has been hooked up to a manual option in plenty of cars before, including the previous-generation M240i and 340i.

So, surely a manual Supra involves taking the gearbox used in those cars and dropping it in? Not quite, it turns out. What Toyota actually did was partly develop a new gearbox, believing it to be the best way to get the right level of shift quality. The development team “went shopping” at German firm ZF, building a transmission related to BMW’s, but with many bespoke components."

After the models dreadful history of crashing when they were initially introduced I don't think you would ever be able to insure one tbh.

I don't see the manual conversion becoming a reality.

The article I mentioned above also went on to say they changed the ratios in the diff to make the manual lower geared than the Auto supra. there was also a circa 40kg weight saving.

I was hoping for a factory option becoming available

Someone posted an article recently and one of the comments by the new MMC employee was 'he expects some interesting announcements on the 4 wheelers to be made later this year'
