Our recently purchased '64 4/4 has the bench back and squab seat cushions and I'm looking into replacing them with a pair of bucket seats as another winter project. Looking at several options, but Intatrim Gemini seats are at the top of the list. They are one of very few that are narrow enough to fit. Does anyone here have any experience with Intatrim? I've been in contact with them and they have been very responsive, so I consider that a good sign. Also, the current exchange rate makes this a good time to buy...

The existing interior is black leather and I'm going to keep that overall look, but I'm considering red piping and possibly red flute stitching instead of the more traditional rolled flutes with hidden stitching.

Thoughts?

Finding aftermarket seats of the kind you are looking for for Morgans is something that pops up here frequently with no result.

It seems the OP may not be alone....https://twitter.com/intatrim/status/1303793311598116868?lang=en-GB

Tillett Seats do fit, a couple of owners here have them fitted, but they may not be the right look for a 1964 car.....https://www.tillett.co.uk/ but they are amazingly comfortable......as long as you have them fitted to you.

No, I want a more traditional looking seat. Plus, I'm across the pond so there's no way I can get them "fitted"...

These can be made to order with a little 'jink' in the base to fit around Morgans with a Moss 'box

Hey 1854Sailor, I’m in a similar situation. My 1966 Plus 4 left the factory with bucket seats, but has had bench seats for long before I bought it 7 yrs ago. I’m not the tallest guy in the world (5’11”) but it feels like I’m practically on the floor. And there’s zero lateral support during spirited driving. Didn’t get the Mog for lazy trips to the grocer.

I eventually picked up a set of period appropriate bucket seats from the Ecklers at Morgan Spares. I haven’t installed them yet. Was hoping to get a period set of seat rails to mount them on. Bought a cheap set of 60’s Sunbeam seat rails- looked perfect but they don’t fit. The spring for the lever release juts out the side. I need an alternative mount.

The Holden seats look very period appropriate. Have you thought about how to mount them? I could make wooden mounts, but I liked the idea of being able to adjust it a bit.

Hi, Nelson, I'm pretty sure ours came with the squab seats because because there are no holes in the crossmembers where buckets would have been bolted. Also, the squabs aren't original because they have Moss gearbox cutouts and the car never had a Moss box and there's only one wood seat base. It's on the passenger side and there are two cushions on the driver's side. Go figure.

Yes, Morgan Spares does have the "Super Sports" seats, but I can get a pair of sets from Intatrim in leather for half the cost including shipping from the UK. Our car is red with a black interior and I'm thinking these, with red piping and possibly red stitching.

I'll have to see the seats before I can figure out the mounting. I want to keep them as low as possible.
