I certainly remember B Road Britain. I actually went to the trouble of recording them all and editing them to remove the adverts so I could keep the whole series. A few months later they released the DVD! I still have both.
Ten years before B Road Brtain was the excellent Coltrane's Planes and Automobiles, in which he described the history and workings of various types of transport. He was able to explain things in a simple but non-patronising way and I always thought he was woefully underused as a presenter of that type of programme.

And with his involvement in the Harry Potter films, Robbie has managed to hold a place in our children's generation's hearts as well. RIP.

Hopefully we might get reruns of some of those programmes Ian. Not sure I need to see Harry Potter again  but Nuns on the Run deserves another showing

I learned to appreciate him in the Harry Potter series. I had to watch it several times with my children.
