All done and ready for the Revival

A splash more brass for Monty with this lovely vintage tax dic holder and a 1964 tax disc inserted, the correct Le Mans window sticker is now accompanied by 1963 Crystal Palace and 1962 Brands Hatch scrutineering passes as my backdating project continues.....



Finally, from the rear a subtle low mounted 1962 Le Mans sticker keeps it all in period.



Next up, these beutiful French made Marchal fog lights

I'm a little concerned that your upgrades include a dic holder.....

I hope it's heated for winter drives...

Next up, let's delete that nasty plastic rear view mirror the MMC fitted to Monty, and replace it with something more period appropriate..





Here's the fitting kit I used... First the lower mount.



Then the upper mount.



Now the chrome rod with fasteners.





Chrome screw finishers complete the lower fitment.



And finally I drilled the screen and used stainless pop rivets to attach the top mount, my God that glass is tough



I'm super happy with the look and the mirror gives good rear visibility too

Like the new mirror, how easy was it to remove the 'nasty plastic' mirror may I ask?

Easy peasy Peter, it was bonded on and not very well at that.

I applied gentle side pressure and pulled it away from the glass, it peeled right off

Hope you didn't drill through any heated screen elements.

You are very brave drilling the glass, it look v nice. I just have the stick on AR Morgan stainless one.
