Hi,
Leaking for some new tyres for my +4.

Question is do you go for 60’s or 65’s, it seems the 65’s are cheaper and you get more choice but it does mean you need to change all 4..

I see Avon do a ZV 7 or a ZT 7 the T one is cheaper and newer does anyone know what the difference is?

Any other good recommendation, I used the car all year round so want good wet grip.

Many thanks
Will

I have just fitted a set of these to my 2011 +4 ,Dunlop Sport BluResponse 195/65 R15 91V , no complaints , slight improvement on comfort and the speedo is more accurate.

I have decided to go for 65s next time round. Every mm of extra ground clearance is worth having on a plus 4 and I doubt the difference in acceleration will be hardly noticeable.
Cannot really see any great difference between ZV and ZT. ZV have been fitted by Morgan as OEM for a number of years. Maybe ZT are supposed to be slightly better for economy but a lot of it is hype.

I could be wrong but any tyre that claims economy is a tyre with worse grip than a tyre that does not claim "economy".
BTW this Dunlop Sport BluResponse 195/65 R15 I have on a 1975 Porsche 911S with great success.

I would agree with that statement Heinz. I'm sticking with the superior handling OE ZV7's offer compared to otherwise very similar Avon ZT and have also fitted them to our F54 series Mini which makes it even more of a go-kart wink

I concur - I put some fatty ZV7 on my Mog, and liked them so much I've fitted them to the Corsa - much more confidence flinging her round the corners now.

Best wet grip tyres I’ve had are Uniroyal - the Rain Tyre - good grip in the dry and really great in the wet. Tyre wear not great, but on the mileage most Morgan’s do, not an issue.

The good thing is the ZV7 on 65 is a lot cheaper than the 60’s only £59.99 fitted at National / Tyre shopper

The 65 profile gives almost 10 mm more ground clearance. The down-side is that the 65 profile often is available only for higher load index with stiffer side walls.
