''I love the M4-P in the video. I think if I were working in marketing or design at Morgan I would be taking a very close look at how Leica has not just survived but grown over the last two decades, maintaining its design and heritage while developing its technology.''

Isn't that possibly why Morgan have included it in the video so by association/use of a Leica product, they too are saying in effect Morgan has not just survived but grown over the last two decades, maintaining its design and heritage while developing its technology. Its moved on from what some might have considered to be a 'box' Kodak Brownie and morphed into a Leica lifestyle

Yes John, that is implicitly what I am suggesting.

Additionally, the Leica clientele (myself included) who are willing to shell out for a camera that is more emotional than practical on the basis of its design, materiality, history, and hand assembled construction (all Morgan characteristics too), are probably a reasonably good target audience for Morgan. I am sure they are aware of this and are leaning into the connection. I don't think Morgan is quite big enough for Leica to take serious notice of them, but if by association they can leverage a connection the other way around it will serve them well.

Dontcha just love the skills of those advertising folks, the Dominic Cummings of the world who know well human nature and thus can sell their target audience anything it seems. ...?

The MY23 Morgan looks just wonderful and the video of it swooping down smooth sun-kissed ultra scenic roads warms the heart and has potential to create aspirations of emulating it one`s self, never more so than when one imagines living the lifestyle portrayed...?

I enjoyed the vid, and feel most fortunate to have covered a few miles of something very similar myself myself over the years, all be it in my Trad which I suspect had a few less creature comforts but none the less, in my limited experience there is no better calling card than a Morgan when travelling.

I well remember driving through an Italian tunnel keeping to the speed limit and slowly gaining on a very large articulated truck (semi) it had a very large rear view mirror and I could see the driver paying attention to my slow progress along the length of his truck, and just before arrival at his exhaust tail pipe, he must have floored the accelerator creating a thick black diesel smoke screen that engulfed the old Mog.... So I guess were we dressed in our finest as per the vid, we might have been even more disappointed with his attitude than we were at the time...!

Yeah one does not run air cooled Porsches for a previous decade or more without understanding the effects that envy has on Neanderthals, though in my 20 years of Morganeering, the above case is the only one that comes to mind..

When my good lady and I did a bit of touring abroad the realities were quite a bit different from that of a wonderful occasional day trip out in the sun as seems to be portrayed in the video, but then advertising and reality are two words unlikely to appear together when trying to sell any ideals..?

Advertising and reality together...? Rather embarrassingly, I may just have found an example.... blush Whadayafink...?

OK so the the guys seem to be trying to emulate "Top Gear" in style, but if you can stick with the vid to the end, it does seem to kinda capture a degree of emotion that might just explain why those who have some quality engineering experience and understanding seem to be rather fond of their choice of a Morgan for fun transport...?

Were I in advertising, I might go for GET BREX.... Err NO, I meant to type, MORGAN.. THE KEY TO ADVENTURES UNLIMITED... as it it has been for us, though now just existing mostly as garage art..

Sorry, but for me the MY23 dash is just plain ugly.. I think they could have done a far far better job. The earlier dash although not great is far better looking.

The MY 23 Year CXs cars seem to be what they should have been when launched.

The Plus 6 looks as though they have copied the paint colour on Tarka.

Excellent point. Anyone know where the video was filmed ? Palm trees, lakes, and mountains, suggest to me it was filmed in the Ticino in southern Switzerland over several days.

Possibly Ticino but your mention of it reminds me of dropping down into the canton from the Gotthard tunnel on business trips to Italy. The scenery just got better and better as the lakes appeared with mountain backdrops.

One part in any case in France Other Tread

Me too, I suspect it has been value engineered rather than styled.

Having literally just received my new MY22 plus four on Tuesday (one of the last) I was interested to check the equivalent MY23 spec cost or as close as I could make it. Best part of £90k now and I would not have been able to have the walnut dash and MotaLita which IMHO look beautiful together.

The mechanical improvements are now at the level of current sports cars. The price level becomes dangerous in my opinion for MMC.

I'm like everyone else, I think the dashboard is horrible.

On the other hand, I think that the headrests are much prettier. I also think that putting fabric on the bottom of the doors is stupid because with use, they get dirty a lot with shoes.

Even if it has more security and performance, the MY23 does not make me regret my MY22.
