Sold for £50k, the £56250 included buyers premium. Have put an auction link up on another thread.

TBM, thank you for pointing this out

For some reason the auction results are including the 12.5% buyers premium excluding the VAT on the buyers premium so the buyers full price would have been £57,500 of which the seller would only have received £45,200. I would say buyer paid fair market value for auction but at a dealer at this price or possibly more like £59,000 with benefit of having a test drive and warrenty. Seller was the biggest loser here but some people have deeper pockets than others and don't want hassle.

Andrew - do you think a good S2 will sell at £59k?

Asking for a friend with an S2 innocent

Against CX prices, Aeros look like bargains now.

Let's face it, 30 - 40 grand plus an Aero to get a CX isn't that appealing. That thinking resulted in a second Trad for me.

Well the S2 does have an extra rarity value so if it was in a good colour...such as silver laugh it may achieve close to such a figure (from a dealer) given the Silverstone car which would have had an underbidder who may have bid more if they had been able to inspect the car closer and go out on a test drive. Though I am an armchair somestick expert. These cars are very difficult to value and does depend on condition / mileage.
Hope that helps err your friend?
