200,000 chf would make it £180,000 give or take - which is a bargain, compared to the others around (all things are relative, right?!) Cars registered in Switzerland carry the issue that, since it is outside the EU, buyers intending to import a vehicle into a EU member state need to pay customs duty and import VAT, as with any other imported goods. So maybe not the 'bargain' it first appears. I was very happy with the price I sold my 'Max at five years ago - these prices now are eye-popping for something which looks much better than it drives.

Indeed Stuart you're quite right - though there are circumstances where VAT & duty aren't paid - if you're moving to the UK, or import the car temporarily. https://www.gov.uk/importing-vehicles-into-the-uk/paying-vat-and-duty UK doesn't seem to differentiate its rules from the EU.

My sentiments too, the dream was better than the reality, sorry Morgan folks, but i still love the people. edit: for what its worth (my opinion) buy a MK1 series at a 1/4 of the price and enjoy some hard core fun, you will be admired just as much.
