A 4.30 start in Plus 6 yesterday from Malvern to Liverpool docks. Started car, first ever warning light in 19000 miles comes on. An orange OS light. No clue what it means. Looked in manual, which has been dossed down back seat. Says Over seer! Is it a spelling mistake? Should manual read oversteer!! I switch it off, start it again and it’s gone. Arrive Liverpool 7.15. Do paperwork, lorries who overnighted start getting loaded. Start car, it’s on again but this time in red. Google the problem, find button under dash, push it, nothing. Switch on and off many times. Now orange. Sod it, I’m driving it home. I wring the cars neck out on way back hoping the faster I go the light will go off ! Ring Morgan at Malvern, no reply🤬🤬.

Three hours later I pull into Morgan at Malvern, only 5 mins from home. Walk through no entry signs to service office. Explain to a good chap, Dan. Where is the car now he says. It’s in car park I reply. To my amazement, he says we will look at it now. While I had his attention, I told him, check heated screen as well please, as some of the elements seem to keep the condensation on the inside. Not a problem he said. I go to the cafe to await his call. 4 O Clock, after being plied with mince pies and lattes, your cars done, new switch and part fitted, recalibrated, tightened up headlight bezel, and if you can make this Thursday at 8.30 we will fit new heated windscreen. We have them in stock and takes four hours. So can pick it up about 2pm.

A long winded explanation and a pat on the back to Morgan service department. A very positive experience. Ironically, apart from the radiator and brakes, which I’ve said before, never leaked, and brakes never failed, this is the first problem I’ve ever had in 19,000 miles and it was fixed same day. I was a lazy sod with the screen, but glad I struck while iron was hot. No charge for anything.

I spied in the sheds on the walk to service department. Huge amounts of three wheelers getting built and prepped, one going on car trailer to new home, and a covered car transporter loading them on foreign plates. Plus I counted 5 left hand drive plus 6s all with PDI stickers on windows and a lefty plus 4 coming back from test drive covered in a black protector over bonnet and around grill.

It certainly doesn’t feel like they are struggling. Seemed very buoyant to me.

Credit where credits due regard my customer service experience, and I didn’t raise my voice once.

Sorry to disappoint, you're not the first and it is overseer light and not a reflection on your driving wink

See here.

You are lucky living 5 minutes from the factory. I'd be forever looking for excuses to go in there.....
