Yeah, I tend to scan the adverts - commercial and private to see if there's anything of interest, and then it goes in the bin. Very rarely find anything of interest in the articles. If I'm honest, I'm not entirely sure why I'm a member of MSCC, but it's not expensive so don't object to chucking my coffers in the pot if others get a benefit.
I used to get MOG magazine which was a little better but again, as with any single marque magazine, it all gets a little 'samey' so dropped the subscription a year or so ago.

I'm not entirely sure why I'm a member of MSCC If by being an MSCC Member, you get a discount on your insurance that exceeds the cost of membership, then you come out ahead. it all gets a little 'samey' Inevitably there's only so many times the same problems can be addressed. If you don't bin the mags, you will have a pile that eventually slips over and makes a mess !

You all seem to be overlooking the main benefit - the opportunity to read Dave W’s pearls of wisdom. Yes, I know you’re already read most of it on here, but you can’t have too much of a good thing!

I don't find being a member gives you a significant discount that you couldn't negotiate anyway (I have tested this) Some years ago I asked what the official criteria was for an insurer to be on the approved MSCC list, and how regularly this was reviewed, and perhaps 'secret shopper tested' ?...and guess what, NO REPLY I also responded to the recent e newsletter with some pertinent questions in light of several of us having problems with an approved insurer this year, NO REPLY After 20+ years, I shall not renew my membership next year...sadly
