Has anyone replaced the oil pressure switch? If so, can you identify what type it is exactly please? I suspect it is a Harley Davidson item from an early 2000's model, such as a BC31534-T but it would be good to know which is the correct one.

S&S 106-0744 ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/12/09/Screenshot-2022-12-09-at-14.09.24.png) Looks the same to me as any number of Harley ones. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/12/09/Screenshot-2022-12-09-at-14.14.23.png) If it was me (and to be on the safe side) I'd go with one specifically for a 'Big Twin' but they may actually all be the same spec?

Isn't it just a switch that senses pressure, not a specific pressure?
2019 M3W Sold and is now in Las Vegas enjoying the showgirls :-)

I would have thought it must have a trigger pressure at a specific level but that must be pretty low, so you could be right Lightspeed. I know that mine never comes on with the engine running, even when the oil is very hot and at idle with a pressure indication of 22 psi on the SPA gauge.
It isn't my cars switch that has failed but I was asked by another owner if I knew which switch it is and I don't know the exact Harley equivalent to the S&S item. The S&S 106-0744 is only $21 (if you can get one) or £46 from Morgan! The HD items are more readily available at a more reasonable price, the main reason for the Alternative Parts List.

Thanks for that info Dab of oppo. That number converts to an OEM Harley p/n 26554-77A, which is readily available from several sources at reasonable prices, always good to know. It will be on the next list.
