Guys it is our club and our magazine. Instead of bitchinh what should it contain to be more meaningful?

I also responded to the recent e newsletter with some pertinent questions in light of several of us having problems with an approved insurer this year, NO REPLY

After 20+ years, I shall not renew my membership next year...sadly

I'm going down the same path, I don't feel part of the Morgan world any more. The local Centre is really cliquey and seems to enjoy driving somewhere for a large and not very wonderful lunch. It might just be me.

Same here, I went to two meets to our local club back in 2017, it was all about how many meals you can eat, and watching the flowers grow out of a field. It had f..all about the cars so I gave it up

To me it's like everything else in life, you get out what you put in!

I've been on some great weekends away with the club, the folks are all great fun cheers

its as much about the people as it is the cars for me. I like to drive and get out and about. We're talking about a trip to Europe together next year and I just know it will be fun.

Our club is good fun and the magazine editor can only print interesting things if we bother send in interesting things drive.

Or, as many have said in this thread, if they can be bothered to use the interesting things they have been sent......

If people have submitted interesting things to Miscellany, and they have not been published, then maybe they should be attached here. The purpose presumably of writing an interesting article is to make it available to as wide an audience of interested readers as possible....

As I said earlier in this thread, mine was picked up by MOG Magazine and was published in Iss103. (Feb 2021). Hopefully readers found it interesting.

You would imagine that some of the committee of MSCC or the team who put the miscellany together are on TM.....🤷🏻‍♂️
I'd be amazed if they weren't.
Perhaps they might make a comment.

Local car club meetings usually end up being cliquey. I've done that long enough to see all the pitfalls, which is why we have only ever been to a handful of Morgan local meetings.

Way back in time, our local MG club was fine in the beginning, but eventually, people complained about planned runs out, complained about start times, in fact complained about everything. But nobody wanted to organise anything. Eventually we had clubs within a club, and it went downhill from there.

It's so easy to complain and yet volunteers are always in short supply, especially for MSCC officer roles. But getting involved takes up time. I'm not sure how MSCC hold meetings post covid, but any member can contact the Club Sec for an invite. Any suggestions concerning Miscellany can be directed to the Chairman and/or Editor. If you feel strongly about it, its easy enough to drop an e mail!

As a current centre sec I can comment that getting articles is hard enough.Centres really exist as social clubs for like minded folk and so generally articles are about trips & events.

Charles Neal the editor is keen for content especially as we now have the e mag the Morganeer as well. His email is mscc.editor@morgansportscarclub.com

It is our club so if you don't like the content then we/ you need to supply other articles on different issues / topics.

I'm new to the fold and haven't managed to get to one of the local evening meets as yet and the daytime runs are out for me as I'm in work! Hoping I'll be made to feel welcome when I do eventually get to one.
I don't find the magazine that interesting if I'm honest but I enjoy having a flick through and I've also saved a few £ with the MSCC discount codes smile
