Sure the OP is playing Devils Advocate.
You cant ignore the future but you can sure forget the past, MMC have done so with the 5speeder in double quick time. I love mine, it sits in the centre of our home and is viewed from every room, so if the day comes when it cant be kept on the road, at least we have a piece of art but lets be honest, it is an embarrassment to the Brand.
I had a little poke at the VIP`s that were invited to launch and asked if those with deposits down would also be invited. As i had a deposit down, i knew the answer. Missed opportunity from MMC and build dates available in January suggest sales have not gone as hoped.
Comments made by Jonathan Wells such as calling the Super 3 `the entry level model into the brand` and not seeing it in the flesh was enough for me to cancel, however seeing it live, well, it makes the 5 speeder look poor, almost childlike.
Does it have the thrill, sound and presence of the 5 speeder no but does it have a place in Morgans 21 Century history and therefor on this section,IMO most definitely.

yes, being a bit of a devils advocate. the five speed is a thrill to drive, but I have wondered if I sell it before it ends up as an ornament in the garage

my original plan was to get a three wheeler from Pete Larsen, only to find he had stopped making them...

I was in that exact situation in 2017 so I did want I could do then and bought a M3W to scratch the itch.

When Kankel posted here that Pete's ACE #10 was for sale (forever grateful to Kankel for that!) I immediately contacted the seller and we came to an agreement within the hour.

When I told my wife that evening, her reaction was simply, "you're not keeping them both, right?" and the M3W was sold.

Of course, a couple years later, I then bought yet another ACE; Pete's #13, 'The ACE of Clubs' and I even got close to a third ACE a while ago.

By my count there are 8 ACEs in the US still. My advice is to keep your eye out and be ready, if that's what you really wanted.

Pete's new ACE f-6 is also doing well and the first run of six have all been sold, with f-6 #4 in build now.

How has a thread about the Super 3 turned into one about an Ace. Perhaps its the North Americans that need their own section?

If it were not for "North Americans" the 5spdr would never have existed. If MMC had followed the Ace design there would not have been such a need to modify of for the sake of reliability.

Were it not for the "North Americans" I doubt Morgan might have made it through the lean years when UK buyers were seemingly few and far between...?
