The verb cancels out the adjective...........🤷🏻‍♂️

Diito. Classic VC behavior. If he resigned he will be a bad leaver and it will have cost him. My guess is he didn't agree where the company is headed. The end of an era

What surprises me is that the new man is someone from the Morgan clan. (Great grandson of HFS).

I hope Steve Morris enjoys his retirement. I retired from my career after 40 years, and even though I liked my job I have never regretted retiring. Life is too short, and you need to get to all the other things you couldn't do during those 40 years.
I don't know much about Lawrence Price except that he is Peter Morgan's grandson. Is he a car guy? Does he show up at club events? Does he have opinions about the future of Morgan cars?

I wish Morris well in his retirement, and Price every success in his new role.

There are many here that seem to view everything as a portent of Morgan doom. I imagine it has always been thus throughout Morgan history everytime there's been a slight change........

One of the good guys - wishing Steve well in whatever he chooses to do next.

The press releases on this seem to be a little confusing with autocar describing it as "stepping down". Like most of us over years of Morgan ownership I've got to know Steve and I doubt he's chosen to leave / retire or whatever its being dressed up as. I haven't spoken to Steve for a month or so, but I guess it'll be impposible now to find out what has happened.



I suspect that this is more the case given as this would be a good time to bury bad news, especially if you think nobody is interested.

It'll be interresting to see who acts as the face of the company now, will Lawrence after years of not doing a great deal on the customer front suddenly start attending events trying to spin it as still a family business or will they stop engaging with existing customers as they strive for bigger and better things. The only member of the family who I see is active on the Morgan front is Craig Hamilton Smith who I race with in the challenge series, I'll have to ask him when I see him next if he was offered the job.

Now that the factory has pulled away from directly entering cars in the challenge series the next step I'd guess will be to withdraw of its sponsorship of the series and then sudden apprearance of Morgan at F1 to appeal to a 'new' customer base.

Its a sad day for Morgan and its customers not only have they lost one of the best advocates and sales people for the business but as customers we are going to miss a key point of contact. Steve would always be the one that we would go to as TM admins to try and help those having difficulties.

I've been riding Harley for ten years now. Have a Road King and a Fat Bob. Since I've been on the road with Harley, I've been hearing exactly the same thing. With each new model it is no longer a real Harley. With every change in personnel, the company goes under. I'm brand new to the MMC world now... but funny enough, the behavior here is exactly the same.

I think a better Harley analogy would be the AMF days .... lots of similarities ... ended with a family buy back.
