Greetings everyone , I have been following the forum for quite sometime now, just dreaming about owning a Morgan ,but not yet in actual ownership , Hopefully this dream should come true in the New Year ,as I have recently retired from working in the Aerospace industry, I think I have probably settled on a Trad Plus 4 ,but I know if the right car comes along that could possibly change, it's all about condition and history at the end of the day, I do fancy a Plus4 Super sports, but I am not restricting myself to that particular model ,but am concerned about the lack of a spare Miniight alloy wheel ,I would like to have a spare, what are the options , Please excuse the many questions to follow, Thankyou Colin.

Welcome to the forum Colin. Asking questions is the life blood of a forum... as for daft questions and wrong answers, I think I have submitted all of those.. The right Morgan is out there waiting for you, I hope you find it soon..

Welcome to TM Colin, modern tyres are very reliable and most tin tops just have a can of goo, I think some Mog owners have considered the option of carrying as spare on a low level luggage rack in the past (or just choose a car that someone specced the 5 wheel option)

Welcome fom northern Germany!
This forum is the the right place fo all questions about Morgans!
Here you will certainly read different views on spare wheels - I had two flats in the last years so I like spare wheels.
And yes I also like the look of the back of a Morgan with spare wheel.

Welcome and I hope the right car finds you. I too bought my 4/4 sport as a retirement present to myself after 36 years of teaching Deaf children - I think I deserved some fun and after 12 years have not regretted my choice. I do not have a spare on the Mog - it comes with a can of hair gel. I do not trust that and for the past few years have put Autoseal in the Mog and the Fiesta tyres and renewed it at tyre change time. It is water based and stays inside the tyre and permanently seals a puncture on the tread area. I think with my MSCC discount it cost about £50 per car. Peace of mind, as I would not want to change a wheel at the side of a road with today`s traffic. Think about joining MSCC before yo choose a car it may give insight into ownership & how we view various models.
