When driving it today, it conked out at a roundabout and the battery warning light popped up for a few seconds. So I’ll add that to the list of faults. And it’s only done 300 miles.
Will you tell us more on this, it seems you were able to get it restarted? Yeah, it started straight up again and then the battery warning came up on the dash straight away. I turned off the heated seats and blower heater and it went off. I’m worried the annoying noise coming from the engine might be the alternator. Chris The annoying noise - is it a high pitched whine/tone? - almost like an electric alarm? I have this noise which starts once the car is warm. I thought it was the alternator... I sent a sound recording to my dealer who sent it on to Morgan. They said it is a known fault related to the fuel system (vapour system) and there is a fix coming. Not sure if this helps you, but thought I'd share in case it is the same. Yep 100% this sounds like my issue. Thank you. What’s the fix? I wonder if I have to take it back to the dealership or something they can send out?

Sorry - but this really looks like MMC have not learnt from past mistakes!!! As well as the issues highlighted in this thread - which are customer cars (!) .. there have also been issues with demonstrator cars including brake issues, bevel box noise, geometry issues and paintwork problems!! How can a basic thing such as the customer specification trim be incorrectly supplied? I do hope MMC respond swiftly to rectify these issues...

May be the QC/PDI procedures will be more of a priority for Price than they were for Morris......

Known fault??? Why then wasn't it rectified by MMC before releasing the cars to customers? The Super 3 had supposedly lots of test driving and development work (it was at a well known Ford tuning company for test and evaluation purposes for a week or so about a year ago ) so was the "known fault" issue evident then?
10 years on and yet again initial 3 wheeler owners are being used as Guinea Pigs....

Hi Stevo666 - I agree with you this should not happen. To be honest, as an "early adopter" I am willing to have one or two extra trips to the dealership to work things out / fix problems detected on early cars, but when it comes to things like not delivering cars to specifications I have basically zero tolerance as this is simply a matter of quality assurance at the factory. If Morgan wants to play in this league (price wise) they have to compete with everybody else. So let's see how their customer service measures up with the fancy lifestyle commercial videos. Do not get me wrong- I am really enthusiastic about this future car for me but in the end it is my money....

Yes - its your money and for a low volume production car you should be getting exactly what you asked for/specified.... I really hoped that MMC had sorted the Super 3 - its not for me as I prefer the 5 Speeder (although the Super 3 has 'grown' on me since seeing it at Grindelwald) but for MMC I had hoped they had learnt by past mistakes - obviously seems not. Now seems to me this car was rushed to market?

Wasn't it posted here that one of the Super 3's production delays was due to BB/Belt whine in the demonstrators, and that MMC was resolving this before new customer cars were built? I know that there were 5-Speeder owners that were hopeful that some of this 'fix' could then be applied to their 3-wheelers.
I'd also be curious to see the quality of the welds in the delivered Super 3s, since that was another 'those poor welds are because it's a prototype" comment?

A delay was homologation. The welds look good on mine from what I can see. So far, I’ve spotted no build quality issues. The brakes work well, they take a bit of bedding in due to the pads used, the squeal is as already described. I have found the car is a bit susceptible to side winds. I’m a very happy bunny with mine (so far).

The dealer could not shed much more light on what the fuel system noise fix was - something to do with replacing a switch somewhere under passenger seat area to do with fuel vapour return (I'm not techy so might not have got that quite right). Definitely something they have to do at the 3 month service rather than a home fix. I did have the factory confirm that the car was not unsafe to drive in the meantime!
Oh, they also said they might be fitting some sort of "damper" (derailleur type thing) to stop the lower bit of the belt from flapping too...
Morgan are reminding me of my time as a TVR customer - we did the final product shakedowns for them! I think Morgan rely to some extent on customers buying into the whole ethos of Morgan being a small company, hand-made products, they all do that sir etc. etc. Now that didn't work out too well for TVR... plus many customers for the Super 3 are new to Morgan and might not be familiar with that ethos - coming from Porsche or BMW or wherever, they may (rightly or wrongly) expect similar levels of quality given the price of the product. They will expect not only a reliable product out of the box but also expect BMW/Porsche levels of dealer and factory response when things go awry. This will be an interesting time for Morgan - it's customer base is changing/widening - how will it adapt?
Personally, I expected some issues being a very early customer so am not too upset. My focus is on how well Morgan treat/support us when things go wrong... we shall see!
