a whole lot of helmets that could suit the 3whlrs:
http://www.openfacehelmets.co.uk/All-Helmets_B23085.aspx

no need to order through that site,
they list the "brands"
so you can look for "closer" dealers of that brand

Actually I bought a great open face helmet with full visor from Lidl a couple of years ago for around £25, admitedly it is a motorbike one, but I wouldn't trust my head to a £25 helmet on a bike, but for an open car it's perfect. I expect they'll be doing another special for motorcyclists in the spring. I also bought a superb one piece waterproof motorcycle suit for the same reason, can't remember the cost, but it wasn't a lot, maybe around £30 I think.

Those Davida helmets look great and damn near match the Morgan logo

I went along and visited the showroom ( so did Aeroman but not with me. frown ) some months ago they have a large collection of helmets some of which are very nice especially the Davida ones. My only concern was spending a small fortune on matching helmets only to have no where to store them in the 3 wheeler.

In the end I opted for matching Carberg lids which from memory were about £90 each.

A little off topic, but....

Caberg sounds like a German name but they are actually made at Bergamo, 40 km from us. The name comes from CAschi BERGamo. (Caschi means helmets)

If visiting Northern Italy Bergamo is a twn worth visiting. Most of the wall of the old town, Bergamo Alta, is still intact.

I studied Italian at Bergamo University and enjoyed it enormously.

Davida helmets are beautifully made...I bought one some years ago before they met the UK safety standards. The only problem I found was that the leather lining got very hot in summer.

I'd probably buy one of their retro pudding basin helmets to wear with the M3W....when I eventually get one. Just need to extend my garage first!!

I have a Davida Jet and I absolutely love it (when riding the bike).
I have been using it for about three seasons now and have become so accustomed to it that it's the one I reach for out of the cupboard over and above my Arai full face.

I have had a number of years use with a BMW system 4 flip-up helmet, which I really liked, but the Davida is so much lighter and quieter. I love the leather lining, but like Jay has just mentioned, it can get a wee bit warm in there on a hot day.

I have recently tried one of the Davida classic 'pudding basin' helmets and would love to use one on the odd occasion, for that authentic classic styled run out, but they are not certified for road use and I am not sure it would be a very wise thing to use just for the style alone.
However, they are incredibly compact and light so I think they would make the perfect M3W helmet, as the head gear does not need to be road certified.
Combine one of those with some classic oval Aviator goggles by Jeantet and the overall practicality and visual effect would be perfect.

I agree that Davida helmets are beautifully made, but as for the "perfect visual effect". . .I tried it once with the goggles; looked in the mirror and all I could think of was Mutley!!

Holden sell a classic car race helmet......similar to a pudding basin with a peak....sort of classic Stirling Moss. One of those with goggles.......draped casually around your neck when at rest....would look rather good! I think they come in white finish so you can paint them to match the car.
