Reflecting on 2022 and my first few months with the Morgan.

The Plus Four has a way of getting under your skin. It seems so intentionally flawed when compared to any other modern car. There are faster cars (though not all that many truth be told), more comfortable cars (though for its size it is very comfortable), there are quieter cars (nearly all), and better weather sealed cars (absolutely all, with the possible exception of an Ariel Atom), but I am convinced there is no more interesting car, and certainly no car I’d rather be driving.

While I’ve really enjoyed driving the plus four, I’ve had few opportunities to really take it on adventures or real journeys since getting it in August. Pottering around is a great deal of fun, but something about the Morgan is just asking to head out on a journey. I’d love to do a big tour it in 2023.

Todays picture was taken a couple hours ago crossing one of the moors near here in the Dales. Fingers crossed there’s a break in the clouds and I can get the hood down tomorrow to kick if 2022!

Happy new year and happy motoring to all of you in 2023!

Spencer, I saw Jens comment on loving the pictures and instinctively guessed they were yours and again they do not disappoint! Love the vibe with the lights, mist and reflections from the puddles. Nice complement to your other daylight images.

Ps. Had shut my car up for the winter, but a Spotmog lunch on Thursday and friends visiting yesterday persuaded me to venture out anyway. Am glad I did as experience still great despite the weather (and the water ingress!). Ah the joy of a Morgan!

Happy new year and looking forward to more images in 2023.

Hi Spencer
Love the winter images - the lights, reflections, stark trees etc. Now how about those days I recall from Scotland when you have the countryside covered in snow and beautiful clear blue sky days, and of course your Plus Four in the midst of it all?
Regards Kerry

Hello Spencer,
first of all sorry I always thought your nickname included your first name. I did not know that Dales is a region in the UK.
Your pictures are once again fantastic. You are a photographer who knows how to capture moods and light.
Wish you a great tour with your morning in the new year 2023 and I look forward to many more pictures from you.

Great photo thumbs I've always thought those silly holes in the valance are begging for some micro spotlights
