My Super3 feels very ‘twitchy’ when driving and it seems to track into every undulation on the road, quite unlike the 5 speeder. Friends have expressed surprise at the high tyre pressures recommended, especially for the front tyres. A Google search would suggest that motorcycle tyres are never much more than 40psi and that is considered to be high. I have now reduced mine to 38psi and I think it has improved the handling. The current wet weather has restricted further testing. Unless the roads around Malvern are all perfect I can’t understand Morgan recommending such a high pressure. Any views?

As an aside, I feel that the specified tyre pressures seem very high compared to the M3W. If I had a Super 3 I would be trying around 35 psi on the front and around 25-28 psi on the rear. I suspect that will remove a bit of front end twitchiness and improve the grip and ride at the rear.

Thanks for the tip Graeme! Driving back from Scotland my Super 3 was terrifyingly twitchy - above 60 was really sketchy. I have logged this issue with the dealer so they can check the camber/toe-in/toe-out etc. at the 3 month service but I will nip out and drop my tyre pressures and see if that helps.

The KH demonstrator Super 3 was very twitchy according to a well respected 5 speeder owner (ex) , that KH Super 3 has I believe been returned to MMC for a full Geometry 'check' amongst other issues it came from the factory with that need to be rectified.

Revolutions Perth's white demonstrator was a dream to drive at 60mph - rock steady. Mine is twitchier than a twitchy thing.
Dropped the front tyre pressures from 43.5 to 38. When it stops bloody raining, I'll report back if it has helped!

Damn it! Dropping the tyre pressures has not made any appreciable difference. Think I have the same geometry issue as the KH demonstrator. Boo hiss.

lack of straight line stability is a sympton of not enough positive caster on the front wheels, so might be this?
its unclear from photos wether the wishbones or ball joint positions are adjustable to change the caster angle

There is no excuse for shipping out cars that could be potentially lethal.
My M3W which I had for 8 years was an early 2013 car and from new suffered from what people were calling "Bump Steer" issues. A large bump or pot hole would send you towards the ditch at the side of the road or towards on-coming traffic.
MMC originally tried to say this was intentional, to give the car a "Vintage feel", but then they introduced what was known as the "comfort kit" which was retro-fitted FOC and which raised the outer ends of the trackrod arms to make them more parallel to the front wishbones. This had the effect of making the car much less twitchy and you did not need a vice-like grip on the steering wheel to keep the car on the chosen line.
You would like to think that MMC have got the steering geometry correct on the Super 3, but have they?

When I got my 2013 M3W it already had the Krazy Horse kit and with that the was steering was fine, so seems like KH knows what the expectations should be; very interesting that they simply sent their new Super 3 back to Malvern.

Are there any new Super 3 owners posting here that are happy with their steering feel at speed?
