Whilst it is true that residuals have taken a bit of a drop, due perhaps to recall issues, price hikes and inflation, it is all about supply & demand. In the summer the afcatory will begin supplying the USA and the wait for new Plus Fours will be much longer. Consequently, I suspect residuals will improve towards the end of 2023. Hope MMC get their act together on reliability for U.S. cars - customers might not be able to tolerate repeat remedial work plus distances back to a dealer could be vast. Also with the Lemon Law(no details but presume rejection is easier) - might prove expensive for the company.

IIn the USA the CX issues would definitely constitute a Lemon, if the cars are not right they dare not sell them there.

The distances in the usa could be a problem. I have only 20 km to go and if my dealer close i would have to go to germany.

New Mogs have 30 months warranty in the UK. Is that new as in the ‘Plus’ range cars? I purchased mine in May last year and the documentation definitely states 12 months warranty. Frankly, this is unacceptable for any new vehicle in this day and age, particularly if the quality is not as it should be. That being said, it didn’t stop me buying one as it was the fulfilment of a long held dream, albeit I wasn’t fully aware of the short warranty until after purchase. Caveat emptor I suppose!

The only reference I have in all the documentation in my possession relating to the warranty is on page 56 of the CX PlusFour owners manual which states 12 months or 12000 miles. I have no other documentation relating to the warranty. I will call my dealer tomorrow.
