Hi,
I have a chum who needs a new rear window for the hard top on his historic race car. He has the original one as a template but can't find anyone who car reproduce it because of it's curved nature.
Can anyone suggest a suitable manufacturer (in the UK)?
Thanks in anticipation

Try Ricky Evans Motorsport
or Pilkington Automotive (they keep many patterns from their OE manufacturing days)
or Tyneside Safety Glass (can make to order & perhaps did the Aero 8 original stuff)

The rear window on a Lawrence Tune hardtop is actually perspex rather than glass as has been suggested above.
I don't think there is anything special about it - I'm sure any perspex suppliers will be able to cut one to template.
Just a thought, is it a Vic Champness/Black Phey one? If so, I'll be speaking to Vic in the near future so I can ask
Kind regards
Arwyn

Thanks Arwyn - you're right about it being perspex and not glass but it's a genuine Lawrence Tune one so unless Vic Champness/Black Phey copied it exactly then the fit will be different. Anyone Vic can suggest would be helpful so thanks.

Roadie Yes, Vic took his mould from a genuine Lawrence Tune hardtop as fitted to a well known Lawrence Tune car!! I'll ask him! Arwyn

Roadie, if you're still struggling I've just remembered this co.
They can digitally scan the shape / curvature and make new Perspex or Lexan 'screens to match your existing (the blue book may require Lexan for shatter resistance)
