On balance given that any 30 month plus 3 months will expire before the end of the year as regards my CX the better course for me is not to accede to the terms of the 30 month Warranty which you say i and other CX owners are entitled to.
I will take my chance
Three main reasons 1.I do not know the terms of the 30 month warranty sent to you and such terms may be less favourable than the terms enforceable in respect of my car at the present time under my present warranty;
2.The terms apparently enable MMC to take advantage of a specific time limit which is unlikely to be the position under the terms of or referred to in my 2021 Manual;
3.I am with respect at a loss to understand why you have not copied the emails from MMC (with personal details omitted if thought fit) into this thread so all may consider them.
I readily appreciate that others will disagree with me as to most appropriate course in the circumstances.
I had no terms sent to me. I was informed by email that it is 30 months - nothing for anyone to consider. I am more than happy being told it's 30 months and to me that just about covers all non consumable problems - we all have exactly the same. Nobody gets anything over and above anyone else so consequently for me at least there is no need to look for problems when none exist.

Further to my post on the 24th Jan I can finally post a picture so that everyone can see what I meant regarding the holes in the uprights either side of the windscreen. Newer cars don't have this problem apparently ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/01/31/IMG_4204.jpeg)

Obviously lot's of opinions above on warranty periods, T&C's, etc, it's not just CX, some of us with Trads & the Aero lads have suffered too
Don't forget ANY owner has the option of buying a 3rd party warranty and extending the 'cover' as long as you may want for peace of mind...lot's of ads in the back of motoring mags, and t' web

The frame support has to be repainted under waranty. This should not be a problem.

This has already been done under warranty. I only posted the picture so that others can check that theirs are ok.

On my Roadster but relevant to CX, I removed each screen upright screw, one at a time as differing lengths, and put blob of grease into hole then replaced to offset the likelihood of water getting in and lifting paint. These screws are notorious for seizing into frame so another reason for such.

Now I have shuffled through all 90 posts in this thread trying to find out exactly what went wrong with the brakes, but in vain. I understand there was a master cylinder issue due to premature degradation of the rubber seals. But why? I have seen mentioned porosity of the cylinder wall as a possible cause, as well as a defect rubber compound. But nobody seems to have reached a conclusion, and there is certainly no explanation from MMC. Does anybody know about the real reason - the heart of the matter - for the brake problems? And what do we know of the number of accidents due to brake failure? The only statement I have seen is from SimonH on this forum (formerly?) who claimed that he knew about two cases of two brake failure accidents. Anybody here who knows?

I only know by my dealer but it could be a rumor that two cars have lose their brakes on a race track . The new master cylinder improved the pedal travel and softness but that all . I am curious to know how the cars made in 2023 are braking with the ap racing brakes.

I suspect had this brake issue occurred twenty or thirty years ago when a great many Morganeers were spanner handy, maintaining and repairing their cars themselves.... The answer to any issue would have been posted in far less that the ninety posts, which have seemingly failed to provide anything conclusive..? Just another example of human evolution I guess...

I have said a few times on this thread that the brakes on my P6 were excellent from the factory and remain so to this day (2019 launch edition). so logically, I think the problems were multiple, including defective components supplied by third parties with defective seals supplied to the third party by another third party and we may never get to the bottom of the true timeline of events that led to the brake recall.
BUT, I still think that any owners of a CX car that suffers with a soft brake pedal or excessive pedal travel are dealing with badly bled brakes, not component failure. I may be wrong, but that is by far the most obvious explanation IMO. Quite why the brakes are so difficult to bleed I have no idea, but Morgans are far from the first car to suffer this problem. Old Fiats we notorious as were classic Ferraris (same company now) and I believe Austin Healys were similarly afflicted amongst Mary other makes and models. The point is that CX brakes can be properly bled and my car is the proof.
