I got them unpacked and just dropped them in for a quick picture. Excellent quality and workmanship! A BIG THANK YOU to Robin and his sons - it's a family operation - at Intatrim.

Very smart indeed and the piping adds a bit of class..

That the backs are not deeply curved will make access and egress much easier than the deeper bucket type.

Nice seats, they look like the have plenty of support at the shoulder.

Have you driven with them yet, are they comfortable?

They have not yet been permanently installed. I'm still figuring out mounting details. I have temporarily placed them in the car and they are very comfortable.

Thanks for your reply Sailor.

Prior to reading your helpful post I was struggling to find anything off the shelf to replace the ugly 'Tombstone' Restall's, i'm not bothered that the Geminis do not recline.

I have just place placed an order for a pair in black with black piping, they will be on their way to France in a few weeks.

No help to you, but when I was rebuilding my car I too didn't like the rather mishapen Restall seats ... however I did like the recline function .... I chopped them down, fabricated a new back support that picks up on the original reclining mechanism and remade them much more like the 'Supersports' seats .... if you have access to the kit it's an easy fabricating job .... My better half did the trimming (and now reckons she could do better having had the practice 😀) .... don't throw the old seats away ... someone will want them.

I have followed your resto, you did a nice job, you should be proud, like you I wanted to retain the 30's look . . . ish.

Coincidentally mine is a 70's four seater too, I am in to year four now. I intended to re-upholster the seats my self, I even bought a secondhand industrial sewing machine and some leather but life is getting shorter and I need to hurry the project up hence the purchase.

I have driven the naked chassis and am currently attacking the wings. The car came dismantled in several boxes, talk about a jigsaw puzzle, plenty of missing pieces. To be honest I was mad to take it on, I even had to fabricate a new chassis and replace about 25% of the steel in each of the wings. I have known and admired the car from new and kinda just had to have it, deffo heart over head.

Another coincidence, see you are a hillclimber, me too, I have been heavily involved in the French national championship for the last twenty years, both as a driver and as an organiser.
