MX5 but the previous shape. There's a reason they sell in numbers.

Unpretentious (if slightly bland) and incredible value.

Or Caterham.

I like them too but just like the MX5 and Abarth are not built for six footers at 14 stone so it is out of the calculation for me.

I'd have one of these if it fitted me, they look great fun and closer to me than the CX series.

MX5 & 124 are the same car.

If I didn't have the Morgan, an MX5 would suit very well. Good value for money and a reasonable ownership experience. And there are a couple of MX5 specialists here in the East Midlands ( Given their popularity, I suspect that most areas have MX5 specialists!).

Ariel Atom, which was a hoot to drive or perhaps a self build 'modern' incarnation of something classic like a D Type

Aren’t you suppose to shrink as you get older, might have to wait a few more years ? 14 stone wouldn’t be an issue

Not strictly a 2 seater and not strictly modern either but I have considered selling my 4/4 and getting a Triumph Stag hide

No road tax, no MOT and cheapish Classic car insurance, its been on my mind for a while now shades

Good call. Easy to enter & exit as we get stiffer. Most of those still around are really well sorted too.
