Fine, TBM! I would be very happy if you would report here about your experiences with your MGB GT restoration. Will do - I've got about another three months credit card payments left on the Mog, so will start a thread when I take the plunge  The MG will also be financed by credit card

First direct have just offered an interest free credit card for 18 months I think. Not a balance transfer thing just a use your card and don't pay interest thing.
Might be useful?

Might be useful? Just had a look and I 'think' you need to be a First Direct Current Account holder to apply for one. Also I'd probably pay by cash (so I can negotiate a better price) so would do a cash advance from my Card to my bank account on 'zero interest with a handling fee'. Will split it across two or three cards (I have seven and used five for my Mog)

TBM it is many years if not decades since I last had a MGB GT, long before the availability of the interweb, and at the time I found Lindsay Porters GUIDE TO PURCHASE & DIY RESTORATION to be a worthwhile Haynes publication. Haynes number F303. ISBN 0 85429 303 5 I found it provides a real world idea relative to corrosion repairs and much else, thus providing an all round insight. Of course I suspect there will be more than enough detailed info on the web.. Good luck on finding a B that fits your needs..

If you are not already a First Direct customer then I think they are offering £175 for transferring as well. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/compare-best-bank-accounts/#fdswitchI have been with them for a while and have found them to be better than my experience with Barclays who have descended from solid to poop in the last few years.

The rear parcel shelf storage is complete and looks great.
