An America Super 3 in build - I’m told the headlights are centre mounted as it’s considered a Motorbike in America….

I would be concerned about these quite wide vehicles without at least a very bright wing light.

Pleased they are producing for the States already though thumbs

Hopefully they will send the regular outboard supports with the car for dealer installation. Thanks for the update Barkbark- a glimmer of hope for those of us waiting impatiently in the States!

My uncle always drove in gloves, as a lad I asked why, It was apparently to punch a visibility hole through a toughened 'screen if a flying stone hit it and made it craze

I live in Vegas and faced a similar issue. I bought my M3W from Morgan West, and took it back for the first service, but have otherwise maintained it myself. As I understand US law, a manufacturer can't invalidate your warranty for not having it serviced by a dealership. The biggest risk is that you may be out of pocket by many hundreds of dollars if you need to pay someone to transport it to the dealer if it becomes immobile, and you need a warranty claim or can't get it fixed locally.

The US initially classed the M3W as a car and they were supplied with outboard headlights. After a couple of years the rules changed to classify it as a motorbike and it had to switch to inboard headlights. MMC did initially supply the the cars with a spare set of outboard mounting brackets for the owners/dealers to change back but this stopped after a few months.

I assume the Super3 is also classed as a motorbike in the US and doubt MMC will supply outboard brackets but it shouldn't be too big a job to fabricate new mountings or add a second pair of lights.

The front LED indicators sit on top of the existing headlights on small stalks (called snails eyes) so not having these preexisting headlights would not work. I suspect that Super 3s supplied to states requiring center headlights would have these 2 inboard headlight/driving lights fitted as well a the 2 outboard headlights with LED indicators. Not all US states have the center headlight feature on 3 wheelers, but many have the requirement for daytime running/headlights to be illuminated all of the time.

When I got my M3W in May 2020 you could order (and pay for) the outboard mounting brackets and have the dealer put the headlights back where they should be, and I had this done. I would check with your dealer if they can do the same with the Super 3.
