Not sure I'm gonna go down the lines of drilling holes just yet. Gonna solve the water getting in first. Was surprised to see a decent amount of water come out from the black mounting spacer. Think water has been coming in from the hole where the electrical feed goes through. All dried and greased so need to figure out some kind of gaiter to stop further water coming in.

We speak about two 3mm holes in an area you can‘t see. It‘s safe that water comes in. So drain it.

The holes are also a point at a workshop meeting at a wellknown Morgan Dealer.

If you buy new lamps you‘ve got also new lenses. So have a try with the holes in the old lenses. My Mog has done about 30.000KM with holes and without any problems by the holes.

I think the water ingress issue is exacerbated because the plastic angled plinth (6 below) does not provide a a smooth flat surface for the lamp and particularly it's rubber backing to sit against, allowing it to pucker up when bolted up tight to inner wing. This because of the moulded internal bracing of same. Plenty of silicone grease on assembly should prevent water ingress though.

Although not shown there should be a very short length of steeply angled snug fitting rubber tube (to match slope of inner wing) added before washer and securing nut are also added. When tightened this should stop water creeping up securing bolt threads.

Thanks Richard. Think I'm going to purchase some thin rubber sheeting to fashion some form of rubber seal from within the wheel arch. Might try and form a thin 1mm rubber gasket to go between "6" and the bodywork.

No water ingress following assembly with silicon grease.

I decided to change the colour of my brake callipers, from previously painted red to gloss black (high temperature enamel paint) brush finish using wet & dry grit paper & meguiars ultimate compound polish.

I think it looks better
