Hi,
This is the first time on TALKMORGAN,
I am looking for inner tubes for my +4 1991 M16 2seater, which size do I need and where is the best to buy?
The tires are Dunlop racing 500.15
Does anybody know the torque for the wheelspinners?

Best regards,
Bart+4

Hi Bart

I see that there is no response to your question. I suggest that you try and post the question on the 'Mainenance and Servicing' Forum (see further down the Forums list) and hopefully you will get a helpful reply. Good luck and kind regards.

Maybe the tyre size is confusing - looks like an old Imperial size? I have difficulty seeing 500mm wide tyres on a Mog! scared

Wheelspinners - tight as you can get them - have never seen a torque figure...

Longstone Tyres in the UK list a number of options including Dunlop 500L15 CR65 Dunlop Racing (section width 187mm) but they say they are no compromise tyres primarily for racing rather than road use. They recommend an Offset Valve Michelin Tube 15E. Their order code is ZZ1861 - see their website. http://www.longstonetyres.co.uk

Hi Bart+4,
I would try Longstone Classic Tyres.
Search under 500x15 Dunlop Racing tyres and you will see a selection of tubes as well as the tyres.
Longstonetyres.co.uk
Good Luck.

Bart - all Dunlop race tyres have been tubeless for quite a few years although your wire wheels may not be. I am guessing that your tyres are 500x15 R5's as they are designed for rims from 3" to 5". Goodyear/Dunlop have an office in Diegem, Brussels and if you contact them there I am sure that someone will put you in touch with a local supplier. Alternatively, you can contact Jean-Felix Bazelin at Dunlop Motorport in Birmingham +44 121 306 7031/7074 (tell him the Morgan owning Scotsman put you in touch!) he will find someone to guide you. Before I retired, Dunlop Motorsport was part of the portfolio of manufacturing operations I was responsible for.
