Like Paul/Mattmog, I have a set of these inexpensive goggles - and also use them for "decoration" on my helmet only. I dont think you want to rely on low quality plastic in front of your eyes when something hits!

I didn't mean to mislead any of you - these appeared on a Faceache Morgan Group I'm a member of - it seems the French marketing company was having a laugh compared to you boys on fleabay.

Have bought a pair of these as they look very good but acknowledge they are cheap so plan to test them with a mate who is a good shot with an air rifle! He is calculating pellet velocity over distance so we can try and simulate a 70mph hit from a .22 pellet which is similar in my mind to a hit from a small stone at speed. Doesn't cover every eventuality but interested to know just what happens. This is clearly not a scientific test and not to be relied upon for anyones safety! Wonder how it will go!

Now that is a damn good idea and it will be interesting to hear how it goes.

I take it you will not be wearing them during the test!

Race car driver goggles with little wiper blades, England, 1930's. Apparently they'd start wiping at around 15 mph once the propeller started moving fast enough ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/03/31/go.jpeg)

With built in stethoscope?
My mates air rifle is too powerful! Muzzle exit velocity is circa 600 ft per second = 400 mph! Does drop to 200 mph by 100 yards but by then highly inaccurate! Hmmm may need to put thinking cap on (without windscreen wipers!)

I am not surprised as my .22 with infra red telescopic sights will kill vermin at 300 yards with pointed slugs loaded - far removed from my first childrens .177 BSA Diana..
