Took my 1968 Plus 4 4 seater for its first MoT since 1992.
It passed, no advisories.
Culmination of a chassis up restoration in which I did all the work (apart from the trim) myself.
Then went on a 150 mile run including a lunch and ice cream stops, a few minor tuning issues to address but nothing major.
Onto the next project - a 1955 Plus 4 4 seat DHC on Monday

Can't compete with that Arwyn - great result . Did have successful trial of new ultrasonic bath today though. Popped in dismantled Guzzi carb for 30 minutes and not only cleaned it up but removed unnecessary black paint since body was anodised dark grey already. Fingers crossed it will have unblocked idle circuit. With left over warm detergent dropped in push bike chain and after a couple of passes that came up spotless as well

Today I replaced the wiper blades. Usually an insignificant job, but when you have a broken leg/ankle and you're getting around using an armless crutch (visualise a pirate with a wooden leg) it's quite an achievement. Top effort Topline...

Some great photos but what catches my eye most is your car in travelling configuration!
Being relatively new to Morgan ownership - well very new as I’ve only had the car 4 weeks - working out how to carry luggage for road trips is a topic of conversation in our house. Costs for bespoke luggage are eye watering so for our first road trip - a short jaunt to Wales where we are bound to get wet - we will use bags that are reportedly waterproof.
I’ve read through posts about high level brake light mods and trawled the web for photos to see what others use
But in your photos where are you keeping the side screens?
I have a 4/4 Sport, which has a high level brake light built in but has a luggage rack lower than the normal one, as there isn't a spare wheel for it to sit over or a carrier for side screens. I bought a custom trunk from Mossman, it fits perfectly on the luggage rack without restricting the rear view. I think I modified a cardboard box as a prototype to get the dimensions. I have an LED brake light strip which attaches to the trunk with velcro. When the trunk isn't on I carry the spare wheel (can't do both) and attach the brake light to bits of velcro on two leather straps that I put through the rack and round the wheel, this also makes it more difficult to casually remove the spare. The wiring for the brake light was there when I bought the car, I presume it is in parallel with the built in one, I just had to work out what connector it was. I typically leave side screens on when touring. The sport models have a bit of luggage space where the spare would be, it doesn't take the side screens entirely but gives enough room to let them sit on the shelf behind the seats in a bag. Moved it home into the garage from its winter hideout in the storage container. Let the reassembly begin! ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/04/04/IMG_5692.md.jpeg)
