After 12 years as a forum member, I have just got round to buying my first Morgan, a 2002 4/4. It was delivered yesterday, I haven't driven it more than 2 miles so far, but it seems a nice enough car. First to second gear causes a crunch (hopefully just when cold?) and there is the ridiculous 'rev hang' thing, but both of those can be driven round. Looking forward to getting to know it, and will be taking it to Brooklands on Saturday if the weather is nice, so perhaps meet some of you there?

all the best

Mark

Craig,

Hopefully this link will suffice. I read how to upload photos, but didn't get further than 'first, create your account...' The link shows the car in the dealership in Essex - it was a hell of a long way from Dorset!

The Morgan is now in my garage alongside my 1939 Daimler. Here is a link to a website I created about the car during lockdown, when I was bored. It is still a work in progress, so apologies for the slightly amateur nature of it.

Very nice Mark, the red interior works well with the paint thumbs

Thank you, yes I particularly wanted either Ivory or Connaught Green, very trad colours but they do work well.

Welcome to TM Mark,

Many years ago we had a 2000 4/4 with rev hang, there was a simple partial cure publicised which involved fitting a spacer / partial blanking plate to some solenoid air valve IIRC, I'll try and find the old info

Excellent choice of colour (I would say that, wouldn't I....).
Looks like you got it at a decent price for the mileage. If you need professional support for your car, do make a point of calling Tim Ayres at New Elms in Shaftesbury (they service my car).

Nice car. I think on gomog there is an article on 4/4 rev hang and an adaptor plate for the IACV
