Interesting read on the Twitter feed. The police responding with comments about driver error etc! Possible charging with driving without due care ! Social media at it’s best. Hung drawn and quartered !

Agreed re the Twitter feed. Great for finding the pond scum in the gene pool in many places.
Comment about zero impact protection. Zero smarts around how the Police have chosen to deal with the accident, considerate.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Looks to me that the passenger section is intact which likely saved the occupants from injury. I have seen another accident where the safety cell of an Aero 8 saved the occupant such that the police didn’t at first realise that the driver was ok and sent him to hospital for investigation. All was proved well and the driver bought a replacement Aero as he reckoned it had saved his life.

Very sad - presumably beyond repair, but at least the occupant(s) is/are unharmed.

Social media and Pistonheads! Full of absolute twaddle. Never let the facts interfere with spouting ill informed theories, guesswork, bias, prejudice, conspiracy theories, holier than thou mentality. Back to the car. A red S1? I was seriously interested in one that was at Williams a few years ago. I don’t think there were any other red ones at the time so is this that same car? Good to hear the driver was ok and back with another Aero. From the occasional posts of crashes involving a Morgan it appears they are fairly decent in a crash. The Aero8 has a more substantial looking screen frame than a trad so perhaps aa bit more pprotection. My only query would be rolling over. Hence I had a roll-bar fitted for increased insurance. It also stiffened the car a bit. The decision came after a rear end “twitch” exiting a roundabout on the A6 near Shapp. Diesel on a damp road and me slightly early on the throttle so not straightened up fully. Caught the car ok but my passenger invented a new word. A couple of us on that weekend decided on a roll-bar.

There is a red Aero at Williams - or at least it was certainly there between December '22 and March '23. Didn't look like it was going anywhere in a hurry, and the chaps at Williams intimated that the owner was considering parting with it.

Gosh! that looks nasty - hope everyone was OK
That Aero looks familiar as I have only ever seen one in red with the tan interior.
I spoke with the owner a few years back when were at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb for the Morgan event.
He reckoned the original owner was a big Ferrari fan and had used the classic red/tan colour combo in homage and that all the cars in his collection were in that scheme ...?!
If it is the same one, I think it has had a number of owners since then.....
Does anyone have any more info. ?
