I have used a red Millers Deltaplex 2 EP for many years and got 40k out of my first set of kingpins. Reading up a bit more on this it appears that high temperature is also a factor in encouraging the sulphur content of EP greases to attack bronze. So I think king pins are fairly safe in that respect.

I use Link and Pin grease, sold for the link pins on earth movers and agricultural equipment.

About 3 quid a cartridge when I last bought some at my local farm supplies place

Blue paper to remove the excess and into the burn barrel out the back

I just use bog issue Molly based grease currently have just over 67,000 miles on the Kingpins (52,000 of those miles are mine) with no play, never used the one shot oiler.

I think Craig in reality any good grease works so it should be fine. I must admit Class have a depot on the A14 north or Bury and their agricultural grease I noted was very well priced.

I also suspect most of us over grease i.e. at shorter intervals than the MMC 1000 miles.

I’ve gone down the “red and tacky “ route at 500 mile intervals. It’s probably completely OTT but I’m happy and it’s gives me the opportunity to make sure nothings falling off. grin2
