Gents, I am told I am the only three wheeler entered for the track day at Goodwood on 23rd May! Last year we had a great turn out and had our own session.

So this is a call to other M3W drivers to enter else our slot gets dropped! Hope you can join me.

Malcolm

Hi Malcolm, I'm heading all the way down in the Roadster, any chance of a passenger ride with you ?

Hi Malcolm
I spoke to Sarah at Brands Hatch Morgan a few months back and this was her reply. I was waiting for an update.

'I am very much hoping to run a 3 wheeler session this year (especially with the new Super 3 now being ‘out there’) but it seems that our date clashes with a whole load of other 3 wheeler events and, as I write, you are my only 3 wheeler!!

I would need to run several in order to justify a session.

Let’s keep in touch and if/as soon as I think it might be viable I will let you know'

Well I got the same from Sarah last week after I returned the entry form, but I have also sent the money in. She has asked if I want a refund but I would rather go play with the car. So if you enter and we can drum up a couple more we could be good to go! Last year we got so much track time it was fantastic value for money at £175 per car.

For those thinking about joining in the fun, but are hesitating, highly recommend you give it a go. It is really good fun and you only go as fast as your right foot says! Not many cars on track at once either!

Sorry CooperMan, if we do get on track I am going to be getting my daughter to drive the car as much as possible and so will need to sit beside her myself to help her along. But would take you for a run out on the roads at some point very happily!

Sarah says she is following up with two other owners so hopefully we can scrape the numbers together to make this work.

I love a Goodwood track day and have taken a 4 wheeled Morgan and an Aston down in the past. I'm just not that confident that the 3 Wheeler would survive the day. I'd worry that it would shake itself to bits and then it would be a long walk home smile

Last year no 3 wheeler had any issue and all drove there and home again except for me who trailered in. But I will be driving there and back this year as the car ran faultlessly all day.

Yes, sorry Malcolm, but this years' BHM day clashes with a trip I have to the US, so I won't be around. This is a real shame as this day is the best track time I have all year (and I do quite a lot), so I can only recommend it to anyone who fancies having a go on track for the first time. Fabulously charismatic place, friendly folks and a thoroughly well organised gig all round. I do hope you manage to gather cars to get a critical mass. Looking forward to reading about it on here in due course!
