I love a Goodwood track day and have taken a 4 wheeled Morgan and an Aston down in the past. I'm just not that confident that the 3 Wheeler would survive the day. I'd worry that it would shake itself to bits and then it would be a long walk home Why do you think that would happen? they are not delicate or fragile vehicles and there are no potholes on the track so if anything it would be less harsh. You may get wet if it rains but the car will also not dissolve

I cooked the tires on my Vantage and threw an engine light last time out at Goodwood and and on a previous adventure in my Plus 4 I had a coolant hose pop on the drive home. Track days are hard on cars unless you just pootle round and I'm not very good at pootling. The 3 wheeler is nice and simple to fix when it does go wrong but I do consider it relatively fragile. Maybe I'm just paranoid due to bits flying off on my last two trips near a motorway.

I've done loads of track laps in my M3W including 4 days of charity passenger rides with no problems at all. Most of these were in my 2013 car and the centa rubbers looked virtually brand new after over 28,000 miles of use

Last year I upped my tyre pressures. Same again this year if we go, but will also do a brake fluid change and ensure I have good pads. Apart from normal fluid and safety checks that would be pretty much it for me. Big weight difference between an Aston and a M3W but I guess you know that having one of each! Lovely!

Rule of thumb for normal cars on a track day is to reduce the pressures as the heat in the tires will rise considerably more than standard use. For the 3 Wheeler you are probably right to just pump them up as the 3 wheeler is so light and doesn't really have enough lateral grip to create much heat. I'd just keep an eye on the rear if you go out for an extended session as Goodwood is both fast and quite rough tarmac. It's a PITA driving off the marbles you can create on the surface of the rubber if they get too hot.
I should probably just bite the bullet and come but am still suffering long journey paranoia after popping a spark lead on my last trip on the M25 and losing an engine bolt and spacer the time before.

Had communication from Sarah to say that there will not be a M3W group at Goodwood this year due to lack of interest. Great shame but maybe next year? Still planning on going so Grace can drive the lunchtime parade laps.
