While conservatives are convinced it is in the Labour/Lib Dem/Green pocket (Me, I think the BBC bias is usually toward the Left). Is it true that BBC recruited from the Guardian? Except for their engineers who were sought in the Telegraph.

They definitely recruit from the Tory Party supporters and donors.

Robbie Gibb head of the BBC Westminster, in charge of the BBC's political programming took a job with Theresa May as Director of Communications immediately after resigning from the BBC.

Director-General Tim Davie, is a former Conservative Party councilor.

Chairman of the BBC, Richard Sharp, has donated over £400,000 to the Conservative Party since 2001

And we would be really glad if he went considering his dealings with the Tories, especially Doris.

I will throw my pennies worth into the pot regarding the BBC from an international perspective. I listen to the BBC World Service News every day and find it to be precise, objective, factual, informative and impartial which I greatly appreciate. PBS the Public Broadcast Service (the most impartial and factual TV channel) run the BBC Context News each weekly evening and I consider it to be the best global TV News as I don't feel any particular view is being pushed other than the facts. I also listen to The Archers which is my 15 minutes of solitude taking me back to my days in the Herefordshire countryside.

A good perspective Bruce, I enjoy the World Service but not our BBC1 news.
We are spoilt as I remember clearly working on Wolfe Island and being bombarded with American and Canadian TV and radio and thought it was dire back then in 1971.

Agreed. Completely in the Tory pocket these days.

Is it more fair to say they are biased to those that can remove their pocket money and have made noises about it. If Labour gets in and continues to push those buttons i suspect they may become more left leaning ? He/she/it/they/them who pays the piper ?

I am more concerned about the utter drop in quality and integrity that has been occurring. They are close to becoming as valuable/trusted as twitter in my estimation, that's so low a snake could slide over it without effort.

It's odd to watch the BBC spiral down into irrelevance.

Its fat cat complacency needs a hard shake. Salary levels are stupid, for what are essentially a bunch of autocue readers.

Breakfast news has become unwatchable and irrelevant. News 24 is riddled with padding, and repeats, and excessive sports coverage.

Most of the decent autocue readers have gone, and those remaining are as charismatic as a freshly plastered wall.

They used to recruit a lot from the local area. I was in the local Youth Theatre when I was at school in the 80's, and Sam went on to play John Archer, and Frances played Helen Archer.

At Uni, my mate Dan's mum was Jennifer Aldrige.

Anyone who thinks the BBC is unbiased should revisit their coverage of Brexit. They seemed genuinely gobsmacked that people ignored them and voted Leave.
