Yes 150+ mile trip to Whitley Hall hotel just north of Sheffield for four night stay and tour of Derbyshire. Cold but at least dry. Half of the dozen cars tucked up for the night including an M3W.

Not out and about in the mog, but did pass a lovely green 44 on the way to Luton today about 10am. Passed it in the Huntington area, and gave a toot.

We spent the day touring the Cotswolds vlllages. Only saw one other Morgan, a red trad, in Broadway at around 12:30.

Have hardly been out in the Captain so far this year. Once to take it for an MOT and another a quick spin around the block :-(

Trip to Matlock Baths today during our Morganfriends Derbyshire tour. Took the cable car up Abraham Heights and then took this photo after climbing the 50 foot Victorian tower.



Next stop was the Great British Car journey museum six miles to the south for late lunch at the café followed by viewing the very well presented display of mainly post war British cars. A trip down memory lane for many.



Mog in the foreground is a 90's 4 seater Plus 4 fitted with turbocharged T16 engine specially developed and strengthened by Rover for Mog racing of that era. Now detuned for road use from the original 360 to a mere 250bhp!

Return journey was somewhat less scenic than twisty route out and via M1 but deemed necessary due to (our first) rain.

When on holiday bad weather is not a reason not to drive. Having had a mechanical failure yesterday - more of that on the maintenance thread - I was not going to be stopped by a bit of rain today. But oh my it rained! We are in Cornwall so went to the Eden Project as an inside activity. Car behaved perfectly and no leaks but please tell me your solutions for a wet storm cover? I’ve hung ours in the hotel shower as it was far too wet to put in the car

Isn't that what hotel showers are for?

We did just the same while staying in a hotel in France near Boulonge sur Mer. We were soaked, the rain cover was dripping and we assumed the rain had passed. So the stormcover dried in the shower during the night, however, it started to rain again during the night...! Fortunately our tonneau cover did a good job. So recognizable!
