Hello Ruut ... that's funny. I was in Schaffhausen to pick up my Portofino from the repair. IWC Portofino is a nice watch, but I’m more of a Big Pilot man personally, although I had the same reaction as Ruut in making me think about the watch when you mentioned Schaffhausen! Any excuse for a nice drive! … am wearing a Sinn U1 DS currently, wonder where they are based? …

Made a mistake David on my last post and can‘t edit any more ... my repaired watch is a Portugieser and not a Portofino. Sinn is located in Frankfurt Sinn

Both nice - my personal pref of the two would have been the Portugueser, a good friend of mine has an auto. Ps. Assume Schaffhausen is a nicer drive than Frankfurt! (Was just trying to shown an appreciation for German as well as Swiss watches.) Anyway all scope creep … liked the pics anyway.

Thanks all! R That's good news! Must have been painful! Did they do an ERCP with a sphincter pre-cut? Wishing you well and enjoy Morganing again!

An unforecasted beauty of a day. Got out twice. First was a beautiful drive down to Bolton Abbey, with the top down and sides off and lots of smiles and waves along the way. People really do love seeing these cars! I also saw a beautiful blue trad plus4 dropping down into Burnsall as I burbled out of the village. A nice wave and thumbs up was shared. I didn’t bother putting the sides back on when home but did pop the hood up to protect against fowl bombing runs. Later in the evening I headed back out and up a local moor. Left the hood up, which was a first for me (hood up and sides off). Not perhaps as nice as hood down sides off, but a less frenetic and windy way to go whiles still largely open to the pleasant country air. When home I used a cloth to brush some bugs off the bonnet and managed to put a scuff in the ppf. Not bad, but wondering if there are any tips or tricks to ironing that out? In any case, glad it was the ppf and not the paint! If you go easy a hairdryer will normally do the trick, not to hot and a flowing motion, see YouTube for some videos.
