I recently had a wiper arm fall of my Plus four. Fortunately I was going slow so it didn’t do any damage and I recovered the arm. When I refitted it I checked the other wiper arms and the Allen bolts were not too tight on the others.

I’m not sure if it’s just mine but it may be worth checking yours if you have a cx.

Hi, I have also had a near miss on our Plus Six with the wiper arm coming loose, I also had a wiper blade fall off. Also lucky that in both cases it was caught it in time with no damage. Our wiper blades now replaced with the after market version that work.

Watch out for the hex Allan head screws that hold the wiper arms onto the spindle, the factory screws are made from a stainless that easily deforms and you need to make sure that the Allan key is a good tight fit in the screw when you tighten them, or they will round out. Also of note you can not purchase the screws from the factory without buying the complete arm, as they only come as a pair. This was confirmed to me by both the main delaer and the factory!. ( nuts.. ) Once the warranty period has ended I intend to replace mine with non Morgan stainless screws

A number of the factory hire cars had the wiper arm problem. It has been a check item before they go out on hire. A drop of Loctitie on the screws should help.

Hi Neil, the chap that makes them advertises in the MSCC magazine, I cant remember his name, but his email contact is mog67.pg@gmail.com I also believe he supplies Librands etc. The cost shown in the Mag is £10.0 per blade plus post. This covers the CX range upto mid 2022.. Morgan changed the design of the wiper blade arms several times on the Plus Six also the blade length, so he may want to know the year of your car, the wiper blade lengths presently fitted and the width of the wiper arm where it enters the blade connection.. The replacement blades work great, shift the water well compared to the originals. He also supplies the Trad range, I used them on our ex Roadster and they were so much better.
