Hi everyone, I did introduce myself a while back ,but now I am the proud owner of a 2011 Plus 4 Supersport in sport red, will take some pictures soon when the weather improves, and attempt to post them , First question, and many to follow I suspect , I would like to replace the alternator /aux belt as a preventative maintenance measure ,and also have a spare , The handbook states the engine is a Mazda 2.0 MZR (LF) DOHC , I cannot see any identification on the belt ,all I can see is ,it has 6 ribs , If anyone can help with the belt length part number ,it would be much appreciated. Thankyou everyone Kind Regards , Colin.

Morgan often use a different belt to the one normally used by an engine in its tin top application.
When new, the belt may well have had a length code but this had vanished from the belt on our 4/4 when the time came for replacement.
Unless an owner of the same model pops up below, your best best is to telephone Brands Hatch Morgans and order a belt. Once you have the correct belt you will have the Gates reference for future replacements.

Paul is quite right.
Just for info the original belt numbering would be something like this (off my car).......6PK1430
6 indicates the number of ribs on the belt, so mine is a 6-rib belt. PK – The “P” indicates a metric designation and “K” indicates the belt is automotive (per SAE J1459). 1340 - is the effective length of the belt in millimeters.

My 2011 +4 with 2 litre Duratec has a 6PK1306 belt. I keep the spare under the seat as the original still looks perfect after 48k miles.

Congratulations Colin on your new Plus 4 SS. Regarding your belt question, I would suggest putting a separate post in the Maintenance & Service section, where hopefully one of the Plus 4 SS owners may pick up on it and be able to help. Failing that, Paul’s suggestion and SALMO’s info would be the route I’d go too. Wishing you many happy miles.
