Curious as to what makes our top posters post four or more posts every day I thought I would choose a hot topic and explore my own cababilities in this realm of AI v the Actual Intelligence of a Morgan Forum Poster.
Kicking off the subject matter and asking any fellow poster to please try and avoid wandering off topic, this is my first question. I would like my little 4/4 to speak to me but not be too critical as to my driving style. The 4/4 would of course have a good idea of its favourite routes, service routines, health issues and shaggy dog stories for my longer journey listening.
How would you choose to relate to your intelligent Morgan ? viking

I would like our Plus Six to accurately tell me how much useable fuel was left in the fuel tank, also accurately tell me which part was failing when the fault lights come on.. I would also like it to be able to communicate back to the MMC design team and say ...why have you done this... drive

I remember a few years ago being told that unlike most modern cars that are easy to drive and even learn how you drive you have to get used to a Morgan and learn to drive the way it wants you to.

To me that means I have to use my intelligence to adapt to the less intelligent Morgan. But to me having to learn to drive a car the way it wants is what makes a car fun and why people drive Morgan's or classic cars.

--Totally agree on this point - Its what the less intelligent Morgan expects its driver to learn that makes it so engaging. However I was imagining a Morgan that could give some good advice on how best to get to grips with its little idiosyncrasies.

I like the idea of making MMC aware of what it feels like to be lacking in the way of something simple. This could result in something extra special evolving - even a retro 4/4 with its quirky nature minus the silly niggles.

My Plus 4 displays significantly more intelligence than my previous Mog.

For example, while out on the road or track she knows who is in charge and obeys my every reasonable command without question.

This is clearly my reward, as she loves to be pampered, polished and generally fiddled with love

'Artificial Intelligence' is a term I'd use for the 'classic car garages' who've previously worked on my Mog and MG. Should have their tools confiscated.......

100% in agreement with you on this one TBM and its why I much prefer to get mucky underneath the 4/4 several time a year in my own little garage. cheers
P.S. Always using one or two pairs of axle stands and a good hydraulic jack by the way.

So that was my first question. And here is question two:

When MMC get up to speed with Artificial Intelligence and offer you (the buyer) to choose the character of your spirited conveyance. What would you choose? I.E ; a passive agressive little beast, A tollerant, feminine sweet darling of a conveyance, or a wolfe in sheeps clothing extrovert capable of growling at a BMW. viking

My Skoda Octavia Navigation is not that clever. The only words it can pronounce is LEFT and RIGHT, it even gets Road and motorway wrong. I am sure it is just trying to say the words phonetically but it does a shocking job.

I would chose the extrovert capable of growling at a BMW.
