New muffler mounts made and installed today. This will hopefully eliminate the rattles in the exhaust system. I didn't get around to installing a flex joint at the header collector this winter, but this should help.

Removed enough grass to make a bale of hay from around the rear springs following yesterday's DonMog Grass Autotest.

Had the handbrake fail at a red light on a steep hill the other day frown Found some time today to investigate, avoiding the gardening!.
I found one of the bars that pull on the brakes had broken;

My Mog dates from 1956, and I have failed to find any parts for the Girling HN brakes that I think are the ones I have.

Hopefully my local indy can weld the broken one, but I shall make a drawing and see if I can find a local company that can make me a couple of new ones. The other one was cracked last year and was welded then.
All the info I can find relates to the slightly later HL3 system that came in during 1956

It seems that the right one starts to break again, too.

Having fresh ones made is the way to go. Only difficult part for home fabrication is heating to get twist. A blacksmith if you can find one should manage the job.

Looking at your picture could you rotate the clevis joint on the bar 90 degrees? Then you could just cut a blank out of a chunk of suitable steel. Fairly easy to fabricate with a grinder and drill.

Fashioned a rubber gasket to put behind the front indicator housing that meets with the bodywork to see if that stops water collecting in the bottom of housing when it rains. Had a good pour down today so will see if it's worked.
