Fabulous ! love the immaculate engine bay

I wrote that post before going straight to bed, for some reason 5 of the photos didn't show up.

After about 10 minutes the exhaust went from silver to gold coloured, they said it should stay that colour now.



Passenger seat is out as they are still wiring the stereo but they do feel only a couple more weeks until it is 100% back together, unfortunately it has to go back to the painters to have a very small touch up and I feel that could delay me getting the car another couple of weeks. But it is getting very close.




It has been a long project but a very interesting project and I think will give me great enjoyment for years to come.

Thanks for the pictures. I notice on their website that all 50 have been sold. This being 47 and with Frontlines waiting list being a few years it is not surprising the next 3 have been taken.
I got the final bill today. He said don't pay it until the engineer has signed off the car and MOT are happy, but the idea was for me to be able to give all the bills to the insurance company to get the price increased from the $10,000AUD. Maybe it needs some money owing to be covered by his workshops insurance. but happy to wait to do the payment.

The only extras are the roll bar for $1400, the centre console done in leather rather than carpet for $1400 as it is a lot more work and $600 to have the rocker cover painted to match the car rather than leaving it black plastic. I also got a new Retrosound radio fitted so $126K all up including the cost of the radio. I think the workshop has been very fair.

Good news and Bad news.

The good news is the car is finished. The engineer is visiting in two weeks for a final inspection but h has seen the car in progress so hopefully no issues.

The other good news is they want me to come down and take it for a drive but the Bad news is I somehow got very sick this morning and probably can't go for a few days, nothing worse than lying in bed wanting to see and drive my finished car. Hopefully I can get down later next week.
