Unfortunately I've made the decision not to purchase the Morgan Super 3, the total price with import is around $60k, so more than I can justify for a weekend enjoyment vehicle. I'm over 6hrs away from the nearest dealer in Santa Monica CA, so would make attending to any issues a little difficult too. The fact that I'm an engineer with OCD would probably make that more interesting. As an alternative at 1/3 of the cost I have been looking at a Polaris Slingshot, but still weireded out by the looks. It has a 4 cylinder engine mated to a 5 speed Toyota manual, a bevel box that takes 85w/250 oil and a toothed drive belt to rear wheel. Oddly limited to 125 Mph. Well it's certainly more 'Star Wars' than 'Downton Abbey' but whether that's a good or bad thing depends on what you like .... didn't Krazy Horse deal with these in the UK at one time?

I really wasn't sure about the styling when I first saw one, but I'm a massive Blade Runner fan so it appeals to that aesthetic, the Morgan Super 3 has a great retro look, but having worked in new vehicle development for Lucid I realise that the first run of a new vehicle has issues that are often worked out on customers vehicles. The Slingshot has been in production since 2015 with a new engine and restyle in 2019.

I'm a British Expat having lived in the US for 12 years, I have mainly worked in Automotive Manufacturing engineering. My daily driver is a Ford Maverick Hybrid and a Coda Sedan EV, Im looking to purchase something interesting - the new Morgan Super 3, so have joined what appears to be the honest owners Forum as I realise that ownership of a British sports car isn't like buying a Toyota.
It doesn't rain much here in Arizona so won't be needing a roof anyway. Welcome! Perfect place for open-top cars! Not too sure about that- once went to Flagstaff and it was so hot, crossing the street to get back in the shade was an ordeal

The real redeeming factor after living in Mississippi and Michigan is the lack of humidity - I would rather 115 Deg F and 16% humidity to 99 Deg F and 99% humidity....

Have fun Strangely this is true of the Polaris Slingshot in the US market, the manufacturer support seems to keep customers happy
