Replaced old wiper blades with those from Melvyn Rutter. 7" improved design. They look much more professional. Was easy to put on. Looking forward to rain to check out. See pic: old vs new. wiper old by Werni Wehrli, auf Flickr wiper new by Werni Wehrli, auf Flickr Hi, check the clearance at the top with the hood up, you may have to bend the wiper arm slightly to make sure it doesn't catch. I was embarrassed when I took mine to Ledgerwood because the wipers didn't work and it turned out they were just catching on the hood frame.

I fitted 8 inch sprung ones to my Roadster which is marginal for upper screen clearance, exacerbated by the fact that spindle mount holes are not in line! Custom bending of each arm gave clearance though for absolutely maximum sweep. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/TMSUfQX.jpg)

Very effective and you don't see it.

Had to drive all the way back from Goodwood with no wipers

Good advice Steve especially as the first time you use them in anger will likely be with the hood up! Fortunately these black 8 inch ones were fine.

Replaced my bonnet badge today, and am pleased with the result. It wasn't straight forward though, as most things Morgan aren't. The curve of the badge was greater than the original/bonnet. That was cured by placing the retaining screws between the gap between my decking planks and pressing it as flat as I could get it. Leaving a slight spring, which went when the nuts were tightened. The bolts could have been a little longer, to make putting the nuts on a bit easier, but the result below looks much better. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/06/01/PXL_20230601_144547167.jpeg)

Looks good Leroy, I sometimes wonder when you see badges with the enamel missing if they were overly bent in final fit dept at the factory, my bonnet catch internals look a bit nipped from bending

On the way down to Goodwood last week we were forced to run over a long strip of metal on a dual carriageway, it broke both intermediate mudflaps / stone deflectors ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/06/01/Mudflaps-2.md.jpeg) So both replaced today with some thicker more robust rubber (the wet stuff is a lick of waxoil) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/06/01/Mudflaps-3.md.jpeg)

Looks almost like part of an old footwell mat.
